Grenada Beaches : Part 3 Sauteurs Beach
Many people who are already acquainted with Grenada will think of Grande Anse Beach as being the most popular beach on the island, however there are many more beaches to discover. We are hoping to introduce you to some new finds in our Grenada Beaches series of blog posts.
The north coast is quieter and has more tropical flora than the area around Grande Anse. It’s a place where the locals are friendly and welcoming and are happy to chat. One of the main beaches of the north is Sauteurs Beach.
Sauteurs beach is the type of beach that it’s easy to fall in love with. At the very least you’ll have clear memories to take back home with you. Located to the north of the island, in the town of Sauteurs, it runs almost the entire length of the road from Sauteurs to Petite Anse Beachfront Hotel. This white sandy strand is lined with coconut palms and is usually deserted but very safe.
With panoramic views of the Grenadine islands on the horizon, the waves lap gently on the shoreline and provides the setting that most visitors come to the island for. A beautiful peaceful part of paradise that is yours to drink in with your eyes and a great place to enjoy a picnic on the sand with built in shade from the coconut trees.
At the town end of the beach, you can find the fishermen and their boats catching what might be your supper later on in the day.
