Typical Menu at Petite Anse Restaurant

162-x-500-300x225

If you are thinking about coming to stay at the Petite Anse Hotel, you are no doubt curious about what food is on the menu of the restaurant. As with any restaurant that likes to base their menu on locally available produce, part of what is on offer is based on what is seasonally available.

Breakfast: you can order a full English breakfast with fried bread, bacon and homemade sausages. After all, the chef IS English so he really can do this dish proud! If you don’t fancy the full English, then you can ask for something to be made just for you, for example, boiled egg and toast, pancakes (ask to try the Nutmeg syrup on them), French Toast or omelette. There is a buffet with fresh fruit salad, banana bread, bread for toasting, preserves and cererals. These are all accompanied by a choice of coffee and fruit juices.

Lunch: An all day lunch menu offers sandwiches, paninis, omelette, chicken pie, lasagne and a variety of desserts including home made icecream and cake.

Dinner starters: Expect a soup, a fish starter, a meat starter and a vegetarian option. It will depend on what is available at the time.

Dinner main course: Again you can expect to see a choice of fish, two different meat dishes and a vegetarian option.

Every day there is a local special which ranges from Red Snapper to Curry Pork to Stew Chicken.

There is a kitchen garden that grows tomatoes, peppers, celery and a whole variety of herbs and salad plants.

Ice cream is homemade and we’ll be making a post on this soon – but just to make your mouth water know that the range is varied and includes passionfruit, mango, banana, chocolate and lemon sorbet.

Petite Anse offers a little of something for everybody. If you don’t see what you fancy on the menu, you can always ask and no promises, but the kitchen staff will see what’s possible.
